Oh great, another bloody post about copywriting

..except it’s not.

Now that the blog is settled into its new home, I’m going to start writing about a broader range of topics that I did before. When it was on the front page everything had to be very copywriting-oriented for SEO reasons - if I went off topic even just a little bit, I tumbled down the search engine rankings for keywords like ‘copywriting’ and ‘copywriter’.

Now that I’ve got some static copy on the front page of the site I can be a bit more free and easy about what I post here. There’ll still be plenty of stuff about copywriting, marketing and business, of course, but you can also expect more posts about other stuff I’m interested in: people, places, books, music and the rest.

I’m kind of hoping to update more regularly, too: back in the days when everything had to be focussed on copywriting it could be tricky to think of stuff to write. I don’t like to rehash other people’s material, and many aspects of the business of copywriting that are blog-worthy have already been covered by luminaries such as the brilliant Mr. Brian Clark.

So let’s see how we get on…
