BBC Radio Three has just started a season of short programmes about major Greek and Latin authors. The first set of three, about Homer, was last week. The next, about the Roman poet and satirist Horace, starts on Wednesday this week - more information can be found here. If you’re not in the UK, you can listen to all of the shows online.
Think the classics are dull and dusty? Think again. Horace, in particular, is very funny even for modern readers. Definitely worth a listen if you’re interested in writing.
