I was going to make the first post of the New Year a mish-mash of crystal ball-gazery to follow on from the vague comments I posted about Stumbleupon yesterday.

However, I’d be pretty much wasting my time, as the job has already been done very thoroughly over at ReadWriteWeb, and by guys who are much closer to the bleeding edge than I am. Well worth a read, especially for the stuff they’re saying about extended social networks, search and the semantic web. Will 2008 finally see Google’s power begin to wane?
