The ASA is at it again

Haven’t they got anything better to do with their time? I don’t want to repeat all the elaborate insults I came up with when I wrote about the ASA/Ryanair debacle, but who do these people think they are?

I can’t find a copy of the ad in question at the moment, but doubtless it’ll find its way on to Youtube soon - I’ll put it up when it does.

Told you I’d find it! What’s so offensive about this? It’s cheesy, and it’s vaguely titillating (I know we’ve had a lot of scantily clad lasses around here lately, look, I’m sorry, OK?), but most of it’s in foreign. You’d have to get very offended very easily to get upset by this:

I strongly recommend you go out and buy GHD’s curling tongs (or whatever they are) even if you’re a complete slaphead like me, just to send the message that advertising like this is completely fine. Where will we be if we can’t mock other people’s ceremonies and beliefs, and have ours mocked in turn?
